Saw 2 ii pune pe jucatori in pielea lui Michael,fiul instarit al detectivului Trapp. Michael incearca sa investigheze si sa inteleaga moartea tatalui sau.Printr-o serie de evenimente aparent fără legătură,reuniunea de familie dintre Michael si tatal sau nu poate fi foarte fericita,intr-u cat acesta devine urmatoarea victima al lui JigSaw.

In timp ce vor avansa prin poveste,jucatorii vor avea de deslusit puzzel-uri care sigur va vor da batai de cap.Jucatorii vor fi nevoiti sa navigheze prin terifianta lumea a lui JigSaw si sa se apere de slujitorii lui.Pentru  a reusii sa evedeze din acesta lume,jucuatorii vor trebui sa isi foloseasca inteligenta si perspicacitatea,altfel vor ramane blocati,sau chiar morti.

Jocul se va lansa la sfarsitul acestui an,pe consolele Xbox 360 si PlayStation 3 si va beneficia  de suport 3D,adica va fi unul dintre viitoarele Jocuri 3D care vor aparea pe consolele next gen.
